George Emmanuel1 |
George Emmanuel WALD was born in 1795 in Prussia, Germany. He was married in Germany to his wife Mary Dora WALD. Mary was born in 1791 in Prussia Germany. They came to the United States in 1855 as their daughter, Annie, was born at sea. A closer inspection of the records would indicate that they left their home in 1854. And that the voyage on which Annie was born was very nearly complete when Annie was born. The family settled down in Clark's Fork Township, Cooper County, Missouri; where the family started farming.
Some time shortly after 1860, George and part of his family moved to Burlington, Racine County, Wisconsin. It was there that Mary died on 07 Jan 1962. She is also buried in Burlington. In Burlington, George lived with his son, Herman and was known to be alive in 1880 at the age of 84. He died sometime between 1880 and 1910. It is presumed that he died in Burlington, Racine County, Wisconsin.
