    Born in Iowa, Otto lived first in Oregon and then came to Seattle in 1888 with his parents Henry and Minnie (Martins) Rosburg. He was an electrician and a foreman for the Puget Sound Traction, Light & Power Company. He retired in 1941. He was a member of Woodmen of the World. Predeceased by his wife of 59 years Myra Blanche Rosburg in 1960 and son Russell O. Rosberg in 1941. Survived by three daughters, Mrs. Charles Shukis and Mrs. Charles Shultz, both of Seattle and Mrs. Morton Ryel, Porland; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

    A long-time resident of Seattle, Myra came to Seattle in 1897 from Van Buren Michigan. She married Otto G Rosburg on December 31, 1901 in King County, Washington. She was a charter member of Beacon Hill Presbyterian Church, a past president of Maple School PTA, a past noble grand of Rebekah Lodge 259, past president of Col. E. Ellsworth Circle 54 of the Ladies of the G.A.R. and past department president of the Washington and Alaska Ladies of the G.A.R.
    Survivors are her husband, Otto G; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Schultz and Mrs. Charles Shukis, both of Seattle, and Mrs. Morton Ryel, Portland, Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth Price, Wayne, Michigan; eight grandchildren. A son Russell O. Rosburg passed away in 1941.
    She was the daughter of Irving Solomon Adams.

    Notes:

    In 1863 the German authories listed George Heinrich Rosburg as "escaped" when they filled their reports. This lends credence to the family stories that the Rosburgs left Germany to evade conscription into the German army.

    Came to America on 01 Jun 1857 aboard the ship Weser along with his brother Henry.

    A younger brother to Wilhelm Fredrich Rosburg was Heinrich Frank Rosburg born in 1838 in Harmsdorf, Holstein, Germany. They hold their Rosburg reunions every 2 years, and this is the year. It is to be in Crosby, MN on June 30th It is beside Lake Adney near Bemidji. I don't know where yours is held, but I wondered if it could be somewhere close. My local contact was Fredrich (Fritz) Rosburg, but he died a year ago. His wife e-mails me from time to time, so that's where I got the information about the upcoming reunion.     Rosburg, Heinrich. Age 21. Residence Mount Pleasant, nativity Germany. Enlisted April 25,1861. Mustered May 14, 1861. Mustered out Aug. 21, 1861. He was a member of Company G, 1st Regiment Iowa Volunteer Infantry. He was in Boonville, Missouri and fought at Wilson's Creek.
