    Lawrence Edward Thoma, 84, of Boonville died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, at his home.

    Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at William Wood Funeral Home in Boonville with the Rev. Jon Thoma officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at the funeral home.

    Mr. Thoma was born April 12, 1914, in Boonville to Lawrence and Agnes Duvall Thoma. He married Pearl Friedrich on June 4, 1937, in Boonville, and she preceded him in death.

    He was a superintendent at MFA Elevator and a member of First Christian Church.

    Survivors include five sons, Gary Thoma, Jon Thoma and Robert Thoma, all of Boonville, Ronald Thoma of Jefferson City and James Thoma of Kingsport, Tenn.; a sister, Margaret Edwards of Fayette; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

    A sister preceded him in death.

    Emma Isabelle “Emmabelle” (Allen) Class, 94, of Boonville, MO passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at her home. She was born April 10, 1918 in McGirk, MO the daughter of Christopher T. “Judge” and Jeanette Susan ”Nettie” (Glenn) Allen both of whom preceded her in death. Emmabelle graduated from McGirk School. She was baptized in 1933 at the McGirk Baptist Church and then joined Pisgah Baptist Church in 1950. She was married to Carl Albert Class in California, MO on December 14, 1940 and he preceded her in death on October 9, 1989. Emmabelle was a homemaker. She enjoyed family history, family reunions and her artwork. She is survived by one son, Carl “Bud” (Virginia) Class of Prairie Home, MO; six daughters, Alice Hibdon, Ruby (Kenneth) Connell, Barbara (Robert) Thoma all of Boonville, MO, Wilma Hogrefe of Jefferson City, MO, Judy (Charley) Shoemaker of Clarksburg, MO, Donna (Glenn) Frieling of Bunceton, MO; one sister, Martha (George) Rosson of Phoenix, AZ; one sister-in-law, Hazel Lee Allen of St Louis; one brother-in-law, Donald Foster of Ashdown, AR; 12 grandchildren, Wanda Hogrefe, Tami Hogrefe Spears, Roxanne Hogrefe, Rachel Hogrefe Hoff, Christopher Class, Jonathan Class, Amy Connell, Rebecca Shoemaker Mickels, Susan Shoemaker Summers, Derek Frieling, Kevin Frieling and Jillian Thoma; 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
