    Benjamin Scott, who was an English Quaker contemporary of William Penn. He, along with nine other commissioners, purchased land in western NJ in 1677 for their families to escape persecution from the state Church of England. The area they settled is now Burlington Co, NJ. There are two Old Scott cemeteries there that you can find on findagrave.com.
