    Fern first married Homer Weslie Curry on 01 Jun 1931 in Chillicothe, Missouri (It appears that they divorced) and his obit follows:

    Homer Weslie Curry, 81, of 322 Henry Street, died at 4:05 Sunday afternoon at Sperry's Nursing Home. He had been in failing health 10 years. Mr. Curry was born March 29, 1898, at Rothville, the son of John W. and Ida Elizabeth Riley Curry. He attended school in Chariton County. Mr. Curry moved to Chillicothe in 1928 where he farmed and worked for the Chillicothe township. He was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include a brother, Kermit Curry, Brookfield and a sister, Mrs. Lucille Sanson, Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Cox officiating.
