My name is Patricia Ann Geiger and I am the great great grand-daughter of Lorenz Geiger. I am related through Lawrence von Salis Geiger and Margaret Mae Stanfield.
They had a son, John Wilbur Geiger , who is my grandfather. My father is John Wilbur Geiger, Jr.

Thankfully, you have your genealogy online and I noticed that you did not have the name of Lorenz’s first wife.

Her name was Ursula von Salis and she was the sister of Margaretha von Salis (Lorenz’s 2nd wife)
Ursula was born in Davos, Switzerland, 14 March 1820 (a town located in the Swiss Alps, about 80 miles southwest of Zurich).

In 1853 Ursula and Lorenz were married and then departed for the USA taking George (Lorenz’s brother) with them. They entered the Port of New York and settled in New Baden, Illinois.
At that point Lorenz set up a medical practice as he was trained at the University at Heidelberg, GA. He obtained his medical degree at the age of 23 .

Ursula died in child birth of twin babies who also died. Year listed in the family story was 1860
Lorenz left for Davos Switzerland leaving Emmanuel , 11 and Lawrence von Salis 8 , in the care of the Martin family.

Lorenz visited Ursula’s sister, Margaretha and asked for her hand in marriage. According to the family history Margaretha married Lorenz in 1869.
Margaretha and Lorenz married and returned to the U.S. where they settled in Boonville, MO with the boys, Emmanuel and Lawrence.
