      Laura Francis Davis Friess, A resident of Pilot Grove, formerly of Lamine, passed away peacefully July 11th, 2016. She would have turned 90 in August. She was the youngest daughter of William and Laura Davis of Pilot Grove.
      She married on Dec. 15, 1945. She was the loving Widow of her Beloved Husband Carl Friess, who was a U.S. Army War Veteran, and she was a loving Mother of her sons, Carl Jr., Bobby, Billy, and Jimmy, all who predeceased her, all of Pilot Grove, Missouri. She also was predeceased by all six of her siblings, and by her Granddaughter Andrea M. Hutchison. She is survived by her Daughter-in-law, Rose Twenter Friess, her grandson, Phillip Friess, her granddaughter, Anitra Sargent and her husband John, two great granddaughters, Catherine Marie and Laura Mary Sargent, and two great grandsons, Jaymen and Treysen Hutchison all of Pilot Grove. She was also the most loving Aunt to all her nieces and nephews and their children.
      Laura loved to talk and go dining out and travel, she was a great cook, and she always loved to spend time with her family. She was very generous and cheerfully gave to the downtrodden and would always share what she had even if she didn't have much. Memorial contributions in Laura's name can be made to help homeless Veterans.

      PILOT GROVE - Laura Friess, 89, of Pilot Grove, died Monday, July 11, 2016,
      at Katy Manor in Pilot Grove. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 15,
      2016, at Meisenheimer Funeral Chapel in Pilot Grove with burial following in the
      Pilot Grove City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 14,
      2016, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Meisenheimer Funeral Home
