      On Michaelmas Day [ 29 September ] 1616, [ Caspar ] Tryller pledged 3,600 guilders to the city of Sangerhausen [ between Erfurt and Magdeburg, 48 miles northwest of Leipzig ] against the mortgage pledge of the city stalls.  In 1617 he decreed that the annual interest of 216 guilders should be used as follows:
